A special KLM flight was organised and funded under the EU Civil Protection mechanism.

The EU Delegation in Accra provided Consular Coordination Support to European citizens to enable them to board.

Next to 60 Dutch citizens, 210 EU citizens could accordingly be accommodated on this flight back to Amsterdam. The operation was successful and all involved were grateful and happy with the smooth cooperation.
