Dear Visitor,
Welcome to our website!
We hope it will provide you with useful information concerning the European Union and its ample relations with your country, as well as the European Union’s role globally.
You will find information here concerning the enlargement process, following the decision by the European Union of 19 July 2022 to open accession negotiations with North Macedonia. In the meantime, the European institutions and the authorities completed the “screening process”, establishing the situation and way forward on the alignment of legislation. Negotiations will resume with the opening of the fundamentals’ cluster once North Macedonia has met the requirements agreed in the Negotiating Framework.
In this website you will also find specific information on the EU assistance – and see what makes the EU the country’s biggest donor and main trading partner. In addition to the longstanding Instrument for Pre-accession Assistance (IPA), the Growth Plan for the Western Balkans is a great opportunity for North Macedonia to accelerate the crucial reforms, thus both improving the citizens’ lives and advancing on its EU path. You will also find information on specific EU-funded projects and how they make a difference for the citizens.
This website will also keep you up-to-date with our work to reach out to citizens and local communities – either through direct contacts of myself and my colleagues in the Delegation or through our Europe House network. For these activities, I invite you to follow us on our social media: X, Facebook and Instagram. Please feel free to interact with us – because your feedback is welcome.
