An opportunity is available for an Administrative Assistant  at the Delegation of the European Union to the Republic of Guinea-Bissau.

We are seeking an experienced, well-organised person with a positive attitude to join the Administration Section as Administrative Assistant. The role involves assistance with administrative and financial management of the Delegation’s administrative budget according to EU financial regulations, assist with arranging the maintenance and repairs of the Delegation’s infrastructure (Delegation Office and Residence of the Ambassador), accommodations of expatriate staff and management of assets. Assisting with public procurement (executing market surveys, drafting of tender specifications and publication of tenders) as well as assisting with Human Resource management tasks.

Eligibility/Requirements:  Completion of Year 12 (or secondary education equivalent), 3 years’ relevant experience; valid residence and right to work in Guinea-Bissau.

Good knowledge of commonly used MS Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), polite and well-presented with good time-management skills. Fluency in Portuguese and in English or French is compulsory and ability to communicate clearly are essential; proficiency in other European languages would be an advantage.
