On Thursday 28 November,  High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy/Vice-President of the European Commission (HR/VP), Josep Borrell, together with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Affairs and Foreign Trade and the Federal Cultural Institutions Hadja Lahbib will open the second follow-up meeting of the Global Alliance for the Implementation of the Two-State Solution, co-hosted by the EU and Belgium. The event will take place at the Egmont Palace, in Brussels.

Following the launch of the Global Alliance for the Implementation of the Two-State Solution in the margin of the last United Nations General Assembly in New York, in September, and building upon the inaugural follow-up meeting held in Riyadh in October, the second follow-up meeting in Brussels will see the participation of representatives of States and International Organisations interested in contributing to the implementation of the Two-State solution, supporting ongoing negotiations for humanitarian access, ceasefires, agreements on hostages and detainees, and all United Nations and other relevant peace efforts.

Around 9:15 in the morning, the High Representative Borrell and the Foreign Minister Lahbib will do a doorstep. Then the HR/VP will intervene at the plenary meeting around 9:30.
