Can a durable solutions dialogue group (composed of civil society, donors and key member states) be set up to accelerate the implementation of aid localisation efforts and commitments with regards to durable solutions?

Through an interactive panel discussion, the participants will address the following topics:

  • Current conditions inside Syria: absence of conditions for safe, voluntary, dignified, and informed return;
  • What are the experiences of 10 years of displacement, including the psychosocial impact on children and adolescents, and what will the next 10 years look like?;
  • How to ensure robust and transparent mechanisms to monitor the implementation of durable solutions (resettlement, return and local integration);
  • Which specific steps can participants to the Brussels V Conference take to ensure a "durable solutions" lens in their funding efforts and political positions?;
