Information for Citizens of Trinidad and Tobago

Trinidad and Tobago citizens do not require a Schengen visa for short stays and can travel to the EU as many times as they wish within six months, as long as the total number of days of all their visits does not exceed ninety days in the same period.

ETIAS Visa Waiver for Travel to Europe:

The European Travel Information and Authorisation System (ETIAS) is currently not in operation and no applications for travel authorisations are collected at this point.  The date from which travellers will be able to apply will be published on this web site.

Information for citizens of other countries legally residing in Trinidad and Tobago

Citizens of other countries who legally reside in Trinidad and Tobago and whose country of citizenship does not benefit from the European Union's Visa Waiver Scheme must acquire a Schengen Visa.

Erasmus+ Scholarship Programme

 

Erasmus+ is an EU programme that includes education, training, youth and sport within Europe and internationally. It has an estimated budget of €26.2 billion for the period 2021-2027, the programme offers opportunities for millions of students, staff members and other people around the world to journey outside their home countries (mobility scholarships).

Mobility Opportunities: The Erasmus Mundus Joint Master’s Degree

Graduate-level students around the world are eligible to apply for this high-level integrated study programme that allows the individual to read for a Master’s degree in at least two countries/universities in Europe.

Erasmus+ in Trinidad and Tobago

Since 2005 Trinidad and Tobago has been actively involved in Erasmus+ and its predecessor programmes. These projects have had a positive impact on higher education institutions such as the University of the West Indies (UWI), especially in regards to developing inter-institutional partnerships and raising their international profiles.
