Kenema City, Sierra Leone – November 1, 2024 — Twenty-two journalists from media outlets across Sierra Leone and three influencers have completed an intensive Green Journalism Training, in partnership with the Sierra Leone Association of Journalists (SLAJ) and facilitated by Initiatives for Media Development (IMdev) with funding from the European Union.

Monday, 28th October 2024 , Kenema City: The European Union Delegation in Sierra Leone in partnership with the Sierra Leone Association of Journalists (SLAJ) and the Initiatives for Media Development (IMdev) have today commenced a five-day green journalism training program in Kenema, running from October 28 to November 1, 2024.

Saturday, 26 October 2024, Lumley Beach, Freetown: Today, the European Union Delegation to Sierra Leone, in partnership with the Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Affairs, National Tourist Board, the and the Freetown City Council, successfully concluded the seventh edition of the “EU Beach Clean-Up Day” at Lumley Beach.

On 8 October 2024, the new EU Ambassador to Sierra Leone, Jacek Jankowski, officially presented his Letters of Credence to the President of Sierra Leone Julius Maada Bio, at a perfectly organised ceremony hosted at State House in Freetown, which marked yet another fresh start of the enduring partnership between the EU and Sierra Leone.
