Overall objectives

The overall objective of the Win-Win for Vietnam project is to promote Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Creating Shared Values (CSV) for the private sector and cooperation of Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) toward achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), by establishing an effective cooperation mechanism between the Business sector and CSOs in Vietnam.

Specific objectives

1) Enhancing capacity of CSOs and enterprises in Vietnam with a focus on collaborative CSR and CSV projects toward achieving SDGs.

2) Improving mutual understanding and cooperation between the business sector and CSOs in Vietnam in implementing CSR and CSV initiatives related to the selected SDGs by establishing an effective cooperation mechanism.

3) Increasing awareness on CSR/ CSV collaboration toward achieving SDGs for the benefit of Vietnamese society.

Brief summary / description

The project will contribute to establishing an enabling environment for local CSOs to network with the business sector in Vietnam as well as facilitates local CSOs' initiatives in promoting CSR and CSV focusing on the SDGs. The project will simultaneously raise enterprise' awareness on CSR and CSV toward achieving the specific SDGs and enhances local CSOs' capacity in collaboration with the private sector in Vietnam as well as connects both sides to foster the collaboration's effectiveness in CSR, CSV actions which meet the SDGs.

Expected results

Key expected results include:

• 200 Vietnamese CSOs are strengthened knowledge and capacities about SDGs, as well as project design, branding and communication skills
• 40 Vietnamese CSOs, CBOs are improved management capacities, know-how in project design and business cooperation skills thanks to mentorship, guidance and coaching activities via learning-by-doing approach.
• 60 enterprises are consulted in business development strategy related to CSR, CSV activities toward achieving SDGs
• 30 CSR/ CSV projects realised by CSOs-business cooperation after 3 “Initiative Platform for Sustainable Development” Programme Seasons.
• The final results, best practice/role model of CSOs-business cooperation project documented and publised for sharing and replication.
