Co-build a Support System for Combating Child Trafficking in South and Central Vietnam (ACT)
Overall objectives |
To contribute to build a support system, in conjunction with local authorities, for victims of child-trafficking in Southern and Central Vietnam.

Specific objectives |
1) To reinforce the capacity of shelters in Southern and Central Vietnam to protect and support victims of child trafficking; 2) To improve the socio-economic reintegration of children at risk or victims of child trafficking in Southern and Central Vietnam; 3) To prevent child trafficking and the stigmatization of victims in their communities to avoid the recurrence of trafficking.

Brief summary / description |
The project supports 500 children in 3 homes for vulnerable children in Central and Southern Vietnam (in Ho Chi Minh City and Phan Thiet).

Expected results |
1) The phenomenon of internal child trafficking is identified in the shelters; 2) The capacities of the shelters, local authorities and service providers are strengthened to provide holistic support and coordination is improved; 3) Families of victims are identified and receive social support in order to create the best conditions for the reunification of victims with their families.
