Call for expression of interest: Production of Fake-News Debunk Videos with Influencers in Cooperation with EU Delegation to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan
The EU Delegation to Jordan aims to partner with an established social media news platform to debunk fake news through engaging short videos featuring influencers famous in Jordan. As most Jordanians get their news online and are particularly active on applications where short and catchy videos are prevalent, we are seeking platforms that debunk fake news through authentic narration by influencers famous in Jordan, rich in graphics and optimised for quick mobile viewing, aligning with the news consumption patterns of the Jordanian audiences. Since fake news spreads faster than the truth, involving influencers is crucial to increase the chances that accurate information reaches a wider public. On the short term, the project aims to debunk fake news and common misperceptions that (in)directly hinder EU political and communication efforts. On the long term, this project aims to train both established and emerging influencers to (re)produce responsible and ethical content.
