Digital Partnerships

The digital economy has the potential for significant innovation and growth. Efforts are required to deliver a human-centric digital transition. The EU and partners are focused on addressing the digital divide in order to remedy existing inequalities.

  • Digital partnerships concluded between the EU and Japan (May 2022), the Republic of Korea (November 2022) and Singapore (February 2023)
  • Negotations started on binding digital trade agreements with Singapore and the Republic of Korea (2023)
  • The EU and Japan concluded an agreement on cross-border data flow in In October 2023.
