I am pleased to welcome you to the website of the European Union in Morocco.

As the EU Ambassador to Morocco, my mission builds on our strong and deep relations with Morocco for more than fifty years and aims to further deepen our partnership for shared prosperity at all levels.  

Morocco and the European Union have common interests and challenges on a wide range of subjects: Combating climate change, gender equality, sharing knowledge and intercultural dialogue, digitalisation, boosting and pursuing reforms leading to a more inclusive, just and job-creating society, particularly for the youth.  

Overcoming the health crisis and reaching the resilience necessary for a sustainable economic recovery are also key priorities for Morocco and European Union.  

This site is a showcase for our joint activities and I hope this will raise awareness of the extent of our rich and multidimensional partnership, be it with Moroccan institutions, civil society, or international and financial organisations.  

It is also intended to keep you informed about the political priorities of the European Union and its leading role at a global level. For the record, European Union is a unique union of twenty-seven European countries, which share common values, in order to build a society in which pluralism, non-discrimination, tolerance, justice, solidarity, equality between women and men and respect for fundamental rights prevail.
