TRAVEL & STUDY
Travel & Study
Citizens from Lebanon are required to hold a visa when travelling to the Schengen Area, while Lebanese students are offered the opportunity to study in the EU through the Erasmus+ programme. The border-free Schengen Area includes most EU countries except for Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Ireland and Romania. It also includes the non-EU states of Iceland, Norway, Switzerland and Liechtenstein.
VISA
Generally, a short-stay visa issued by one of the Schengen States allows its holder to travel throughout the 26 Schengen States for up to 90 days in any 180-day period. Visas for visits exceeding that period remain subject to national procedures.
Applications for Schengen visas shall be submitted to the Embassies.

Erasmus+
Erasmus+ is the European Union’s programme for education, training, youth and sport. It provides opportunities for people to study, train and gain life experience abroad.
Erasmus+ replaces a number of older programmes, including an international exchange programme called Erasmus Mundus.
See the Erasmus+ web portal’s resources section for information about linguistic support, documents for applicants and the management of proposals.
