Visa
The Schengen visa is a short-stay authorisation allowing holders to enter one country and travel freely throughout the Schengen area, which covers 27 countries without border controls between them. These countries (the "Schengen States") are: Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, and Switzerland.
For a description of how and where to apply for a Schengen visa, please refer to the information sheet for applicants in either Arabic or English.
For travelling to the EU Member States currently not in the Schengen area (Bulgaria, Cyprus, Ireland, and Romania) a national visa is required. For information about national visa application procedures, please refer to the relevant embassy or consulate of the country you plan to visit.

Study Programmes
Erasmus+ is the European Union’s programme in the fields of education, training, youth and sport for the period 2021-2027. The general objective of the Programme is to support, through lifelong learning and study abroad experiences, the educational, professional and personal development of people in education, training, youth and sport, in Europe and beyond, thereby contributing to sustainable growth, quality jobs and social cohesion, to driving innovation, and to strengthening European identity and active citizenship.
Building on the success of the programme in the period 2014-2020, Erasmus+ strengthens its efforts to increase the opportunities offered to more participants and to a wider range of organisations, focusing on its qualitative impact and contributing to more inclusive and cohesive, greener and digitally fit societies.
See the Erasmus+ web portal’s Resources section for information about linguistic support, documents for applicants and the management of proposals.
