This isn't an official website of the European Union

Travelling in Europe has been made easier thanks to the European Union. The Schengen area is one of the major achievements of the European project. This area comprises 29 member countries, including all the EU Member States except Cyprus and Ireland. These countries issue Schengen visas enabling over 400 million people to move freely between member countries without passing through border controls.

Visas

Entry into the European area requires a visa

The EU Delegation does not issue visas. Consular tasks are the responsibility of the diplomatic representations of the Member States.

Study

Erasmus, flagship programme

Erasmus+ is the EU's programme for education, training, youth and sport in Europe and worldwide.

Outside the EU's borders, sub-Saharan Africa is the region that benefits most from this programme, with an allocation of €570 million for the period 2021-2027. This encompasses a wide range of opportunities such as student and academic staff mobility, capacity building for universities, vocational training centres, research centres and certain ministries.

Erasmus+ publishes a call for proposals around November every year.  The EU Delegation in Guinea strongly encourages Guinean entities and individuals to apply for the call for projects!

You can find more information on the Erasmus+ website, as well as the list of projects selected in Guinea in recent years.

The Member States also offer high-level training opportunities in all sectors. More detailed information can be found on their respective websites.
