EUMAM Mozambique welcomed a delegation of the European Parliament
The EUMAM MOZ Mission Force Commander briefed the delegation of the European Parliament on EUMAM MOZ’ roles, capabilities, mission, current activities and the main ongoing projects within the HQ.
The visit was valuable opportunity to describe how EUMAM MOZ demonstrates the EU's unwavering commitment to supporting Mozambique's security efforts.

The European Parliament delegation is in Mozambique as part of an election observation mission, and took the opportunity to visit the EUMAM MOZ.
The EUMAM MOZ has 79 military and civilian personnel from 10 EU member states – Belgium, Estonia, Finland, France, Greece, Italy, Lithuania, Portugal, Romania, Spain, and one non-EU member state – Serbia.

The EUMAM MOZ will help the Quick Reaction Forces (QRF) of the Mozambican Armed Defence Forces to achieve a sustainable operational cycle in accordance with International Humanitarian Law no later than June 2026. It combines advising, mentoring and specialised training.
The EUMAM MOZ is one of the tools to address the crisis in Cabo Delgado, in conjunction with support for peacebuilding, conflict prevention and dialogue support, humanitarian assistance and development cooperation.
