Synopsis

The son of a Prague bricklayer, Josef pursues his dream of becoming a composer. This dream takes him to glamorous Venice, a hotbed of musical talents. Amidst quotidian struggles, an unexpected relationship with a noblewoman introduces Josef to a world of luxury and gives him the opportunity to compose the opera of a life-time.
