Synopsis

Amid the complex and chaotic demands of life, supermarket cashier Annika yearns to find joy and a splash of colour through a synthetic mermaid fin. Her father moves back in with her, a friend dumps her children on her, a potential lover no longer leaves because he is homeless, and Annika’s job is precarious due to staff cuts. But none of that deters her: the fin costs 2,458 euros, and Annika needs it.
