Workshop: Financing Pathways for Independent Films (EUFF Vietnam 2024)

*

INTRODUCTION

The European Film Festival in Vietnam (EUFF) and the Hanoi International Film Festival (HANIFF) are pleased to co-organise a workshop on ‘Financing Pathways for Independent Films’, specially designed for Vietnamese independent filmmakers.

Based on the reality of the Vietnamese cinema sector, where independent film projects are often realised with production funding from international sources, the workshop will focus on Europe-related channels, especially targeting emerging filmmakers, producers and practitioners not yet necessarily with adequate fundraising insights and capabilities.

Led by French producer Thibaut Bracq, the workshop aims to engender exchanegs and connection, as well as stimulate ideas and possibilities.

The workshop is supported by the Embassy of France to Vietnam, and takes place within the Project Market initiative of HANIFF 2024.
