On January 23, 2025, the EUCAP Sahel Mali mission celebrated its 10^th anniversary at the Alioune Blondin Beye Peacekeeping School in Bamako. The ceremony was attended by the European Union Special Representative for the Sahel, João Cravinho, the European Union Ambassador to Mali, Thomas Eckert, Malian authorities, numerous partners, and members of the Mission.

The Head of Mission, Peter Grabow Kolding, thanked the Member States of the European Union for their support and the Malian partners for their cooperation. He also reaffirmed the European Union’s commitment to Mali, through the Mission, in support of strengthening the capacities of internal security forces and the rule of law, for the benefit of the Malian population.
