This training marks the second iteration of a specialised capacity-building programme between EUBAM Libya and ANGA, building on the success of the inaugural session conducted in September. The continuity of this initiative underscores the shared commitment to enhancing ANGA’s operational effectiveness in disrupting drug trafficking networks while upholding the principles of the Rule of Law.
The programme combined theoretical knowledge with practical, hands-on expertise delivered by advisors from Spain, Italy, the Netherlands, Hungary, and Bulgaria. Participants were equipped with advanced skills in modern investigative methods, including controlled deliveries, electronic and data surveillance, and financial analysis to combat money laundering. First Lieutenant Muhannad Al-Idrisi from the Ras Ajdir Border Office shared his reflections: “I thank EUBAM Libya for providing valuable advice and modern skills to enhance our border monitoring capabilities and dismantle drug trafficking networks. I commend my fellow officers for their dedication and wish them continued success.”
