European Union Ambassador-Designate, H. E. Sofie From-Emmesberger, held discussions with Ethiopia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, H. E. Dr. Gedion Timothewos, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The Network of Ethiopian Women’s Association (NEWA) in partnership with the Ministry of Women and Social Affairs and Oxfam International have unveiled the result of a research study conducted with financial support of the EU, with the title “Determining the Ethiopian Women’s Status and Priorities.”

As part of the global #GirlsTakeover initiative led by Plan International Ethiopia, Nuhamin Tibebu had the opportunity to become “Ambassador for the Day”. This initiative empowers girls by giving them the chance to step into leadership roles, demanding equal power, freedom, and representation.

Just one week after the Global Gateway Youth Event in Brussels, 15 members of the EU-Ethiopia Youth Sounding Board from the first and second cohorts gathered in Addis Ababa.
