European Higher Education Week 2024

Realised on the largest scale thus far, the 2024 edition of the European Higher Education Week in Vietnam (EHEW) will take place in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City between 19-23 October.

EHEW 2024 will mark the first time nearly 60 universities from all over Europe will be represented in person, presenting exciting information and opportunities across many fields and levels of study. In addition, the Erasmus+ Day, organised in Vietnam for the first time, will provide valuable insights into the Erasmus+ program and bring together universities from Europe and Vietnam towards new prospects of collaboration.

Introduction

Organised by the EU Delegation to Vietnam (EUD) and EU Member States (MS) in #TeamEurope approach, EHEW 2024 aims to enable Vietnamese students, higher education institutions (HEIs), and other audiences to find out about higher education opportunities and partnership potentials in Europe.

This is a flagship event to promote collaboration between the EU and Vietnam in Education and Research, especially to enhance Viet Nam’s participation in Erasmus+, the EU’s flagship programme in education, training, youth and sport. The 2024 edition includes two main events:

'Study in Europe' Education Fairs

Under the theme of 'Study in Europe – Open Your Mind,' the EU and EU Member States invite students to explore diverse academic opportunities in Europe. The fairs offer direct access to university representatives, insights from European alumni on studying abroad, and discussions about career prospects with European businesses in Vietnam.

Booths from Embassies of EU Member States in Vietnam include: Austria, Belgium (Wallonie-Bruxelles and Flanders), Bulgaria, Czechia, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Spain, and Sweden.

In addition, EU-run Booths include representatives from the Erasmus+, EURAXESS, EIT Digital, and GEM Msc (Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters Degree) programmes, as well as the EU Alumni Network in Vietnam.

Erasmus+ Day

The event targets universities, institutions and education managers, offers insights into the Erasmus+ program and introduces features from the new 2021-2027 Erasmus+ cycle for prospective partners. It creates opportunities for Vietnamese and European universities to broaden their connections, share best practices in collaborative projects, and establish new partnerships.

Scholarship Tips from EU Alumni
