One year on: the poverty, food security and protection impact of COVID-19 on Syrian refugees and host communities in Jordan, Kurdistan region of Iraq, Lebanon and Turkey
This side event will provide an update on this study, with the analysis and findings refined in collaboration with the World Food Programme (WFP) and adjusted to the latest macro-economic assumptions.
The side event also presents complementary studies and views from the field such as those conducted by the World Bank in Turkey, and by the WFP in Iraq-KRI. Through presentations from and discussion with key stakeholders, including host governments, refugees and donor countries supporting the study and regional humanitarian needs, this side event seeks to take stock of the impact of COVID-19 and discuss how to move forward.
