On October 29, the Mission Force Commander of the EUTM RCA, Brigadier General Nicolae Gabriel Oros, was invited to the Presidential Palace, together with the Chief of the General Staff, General Zéphirin Mamadou, for a meeting with the President of the Central African Republic, His Excellency Professor Faustin-Archange Touadéra.

On this occasion, Brigadier General Nicolae Gabriel Oros presented the main objectives of the EUTM RCA, with emphasis on the importance of the partnership between the European Union and the FACA, with the aim of modernizing and strengthening security in the Central African Republic.

Le 29 octobre, le commandant de la force de la mission EUTM RCA, le général de brigade Nicolae Gabriel Oros, a été invité au palais présidentiel, en compagnie du chef d'état-major des armées, le général Zéphirin Mamadou, pour une réunion avec le président de la République Centrafricaine, Son Excellence le professeur Faustin-Archange Touadéra.

A cette occasion, le Général de Brigade Nicolae Gabriel Oros a présenté les principaux objectifs de la mission EUTM RCA, en mettant l'accent sur l'importance du partenariat entre l'Union Européenne et les FACA, dans le but de moderniser et de renforcer la sécurité en République Centrafricaine.

EUTM RCA

The European Union Training Mission in the Central African Republic (EUTM RCA) is a key component of the EU’s comprehensive approach to supporting the country. This approach encompasses political, security, humanitarian, and development actions. Established in 2016 at the request of the Central African government, EUTM RCA contributes to defense sector reform as part of a broader Security Sector Reform (SSR) process. It falls under the EU's Common Security and Defence Policy (CSDP), which allows the EU to take action on security challenges around the globe in support of partner countries.

In close cooperation with other EU and international partners, such as the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in the Central African Republic (MINUSCA) and the European Union Advisory Mission (EUAM), EUTM RCA provides advisory support to the Central African authorities in building capable, accountable, and professional armed forces (FACA)

The non-executive mandate of EUTM RCA consists in the support of the Central African Republic authorities in the preparation and implementation of the upcoming Security Sector Reform by assisting the FACA to manage their situation and to build the capacity and quality needed to meet the goal of a future modernized, effective, ethnically balanced and democratically accountable FACA. EUTM RCA will deliver strategic advice to Central African Republic government as well as military and security authorities, education of FACA officers and NCOs as well as specialists.
