During the COVID-19 pandemic, Gender-Based Violence (GBV) has increased in Botswana. Throughout the year, and especially during the 16 Days of Activism from 25 November to 10 December 2020, the EU Delegation to Botswana and Southern African Develpment Community (SADC) strongly engaged in the fight against GBV, by funding Non Govermental Organisations active in the field. The Head of Delegation participated in several awareness-raising cycling events with the President and the First Lady, while the Delegation staff participated in a 25 km Walk away from GBV. To mark the 16 Days of Activism.
