It’s a priceless asset to know that the Crimean Tatar identity is an important part of Ukrainian culture and to see how we enrich each other. Most of us have families in Crimea. And it’s hard to cope with the knowledge that the threat of persecution and arrests is constant there.

What gives me strength on a daily basis is witnessing how the artistic response to the war is booming.

Russia has to be finally stopped in its attempts to absorb Ukraine, including the Crimean Tatars.
