One year of unjustified, senseless war.
Today the Embassy of Ukraine in Uzbekistan organised an event to commemorate the sufferings of Ukrainian people caused by full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation to the territory of Ukraine on 24 February 2022. Ambassadors, Representatives of Embassies, civil society institutions and journalists attended the event.
In his speech H.E. Mykola Doroshenko, Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of Uzbekistan marked:
“I am grateful to the representatives of all the states and international organizations present here, who made a significant contribution to the survival of Ukraine. Such things are not forgotten, they are recorded in the memory of generations with a genetic code and determine future relations for decades to come.”
In his turn Mr. Mindaugas Kacerauskis, Charge d’Affaires a.i., Delegation of the European Union to Uzbekistan, noted
“For the European Union and our partners there is no alternative to staying on the course of our ‘Triple strategy’: supporting Ukraine, putting pressure on Russia to stop its illegal aggression and helping the rest of the world to cope its fallout. This is what we have been doing for one year now - and successfully so.”
