Today, the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen and her counterparts from four Mercosur countries (Brazilian President Lula, Argentinian President Milei, Paraguayan President Peña, and Uruguayan President Lacalle Pou) finalised negotiations for a groundbreaking EU-Mercosur partnership agreement.

The Signatory State Parties of Mercosur – the Republic of Argentina, the Federative Republic of Brazil, the Republic of Paraguay and the Oriental Republic of Uruguay – and the European Commission have announced, at the 65th Mercosur Summit (Montevideo, December, 6th), the conclusion of the negotiations of a Partnership Agreement between the two regions, after more than two decades of negotiations.

On November 15, the EU Beach Cleanup Day took place with over 300 children and young people participating.
