We are proud to support with this booklet the International Academic Conference “Female Doctors of the Church and Patron Saints of Europe in dialogue with today’s world” scheduled for 7-8 March 2022 at the Pontifical Urbaniana University in Rome.

The booklet contains the biographies of the six female doctors and the patron saints that will be discussed at the Conference.

Brigide of Sweden, Catherine of Siena, Teresa Benedicta of the Cross are patrons of Europe and were celebrated as such in the IterEuropaeum project, a walkway of European Churches in Rome, launched in 2021 to celebrate the 50 years of diplomatic relations between the EU and the Holy See.
