Who Rules the World? Meet EU Youth Sounding Board Members Yen (Malaysia) and Mirakova (Uzbekistan)
Pak-Yen is a Global Youth Sounding Board member from Malaysia. She heads outreach and collaboration at the United Nations Association Malaysia and also serves as the deputy president at the Malaysian Association of Psychology Students. She has experience working on public policy across different settings including think-tanks and political organizations. Currently, she works as a public policy analyst, with an interest in the intersections of policy, social science, and data science.
Shakhzoda Mirakova is an activist, journalist, and documentary filmmaker and Youth Sounding Board member from Uzbekistan who focuses on critical issues such as climate injustice and advocates for marginalised communities in Central Asia. She is a strong defender of freedom of speech and promotes active citizenship through her civic engagement initiatives and storytelling. Currently, she serves on the Youth Sounding Board as the only Central Asian representative, advising EU Commissioner for International Partnerships.
