Organised by the Geneva Internet Platform under DiploFoundation, the Geneva Engage initiative evaluates how International Geneva actors connect with global communities impacted by the policy discussions taking place in Geneva. The annual awards celebrate organisations that excel in digital outreach, social media engagement, web relevance, and innovative event organisation.

This year’s awards were particularly special, marking the 10th anniversary of the initiative under the theme Engage2Connect. The event provided a moment to reflect on a decade of fostering digital diplomacy and collaboration.

This year, the Delegation received the Engagement Excellence award—a special recognition introduced for the 10th anniversary of the Geneva Engage Awards—recognising its longstanding commitment to social media engagement in International Geneva. Over the last 10 years, the EU Delegation has consistently been among the Top 3 nominees under the category ‘Permanent Missions’, winning the award several times and receiving twice an honorary award for outperforming within the category.

Winning these two awards highlights the EU Delegation’s commitment to engaging diverse audiences, enhancing transparency, and fostering dialogue on global issues through innovative digital communication strategies. It is a testament to the Delegation’s efforts in bridging the gap between Geneva’s multilateral discussions and people worldwide. We are honoured to receive this recognition and remain committed to strengthening our digital presence to make global discussions more accessible and impactful.
