Ms. Sara Rezoagli, Acting Ambassador of the European Union to Thailand, delivered an opening remarks stating, “We are delighted to resume the tradition of presenting European cinema in Thailand for yet another year. European films, in particular, are renowned for their unique aesthetics and remarkable ability to reflect profound stories through artistic expression. The EU recognises this as a powerful and timeless medium to spark meaningful cultural dialogues between the EU and Thailand as well as present the European film industry in the country.
Over 100 guests, including members of the diplomatic corps, representatives from the Royal Thai Government, prominent figures in the arts, films, and culture scene, as well as Thai and European business leaders, academia, civil society and film enthusiasts attended the opening reception and screening of 2019 film, ‘Gods of Molenbeek’ co-produced by Belgium, Finland and Germany.
