Recap

Rome, mid-1940s: Delia is a housewife devoted to caring for her husband Ivano, their three children, and her father-in-law while taking on a few small part-time jobs. Ivano, the undisputed head of the family, earns just enough to keep a roof over their heads, yet he frequently asserts his role as provider, sometimes with harsh words and even his belt. Delia’s primary goal is to secure a suitable marriage for her daughter, until a mysterious letter arrives, igniting her courage to change everything.

Paola Cortellesi

Born in Rome in 1973, Paola Cortellesi is an actress, film director, screenwriter, singer and producer. She has starred in about 20 films, including Do You Know Claudia?, Piano, solo, and Like a Cat on a Highway, as well as several theatrical, television and radio shows. Critically acclaimed, Theres Still Tomorrow represents her directorial debut.
