The true stories of seven individuals who faced imprisonment, torture, persecution, and death threats, some even forced to become Russian soldiers, are told in this film. Those who had to flee, leaving their homes behind, and others who chose to remain in Crimea to fight for their people share their experiences, including the painful separations from their loved ones.

Dmytro Dzhulay has worked for Radio Svoboda since 2013, initially covering the Revolution of Dignity as a streamer. He works on various multimedia projects and investigates Russian war crimes.
