Mutlu Kaya rose to fame at just 19 on the TV show Turkey’s Got Talent, reaching the finals and showing immense promise as a rising star. However, her life took a tragic turn when a man shot her while attempting an abduction, leaving her with a bullet lodged in her brain. Though she survived, the attack left life-altering injuries. Today, Mutlu continues to fight both to manage her condition and to seek justice. In this documentary, she shares her story to raise awareness and take a stand against femicides in Türkiye.

Ayşe Toprak
Ayşe Toprak graduated from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts with an MA in Media Studies. Since 2011, she has worked extensively for Al Jazeera in Turkey, London, and Doha, producing social and political documentaries in the Middle East. In 2017, Ayşe directed her first feature documentary, ‘Mr Gay Syria.’
