Recap
In 1975, French Oscar-winning director Pierre-Dominique Gaisseau travelled to Panama to document the Kuna community, where women hold a sacred status. Gaisseau, along with his wife and young daughter Akiko, lived among the Kunas for a year. However, the project ultimately ran out of funds, and a bank seized the film reels. Fifty years later, the Kunas are still waiting to see 'their' film, a legendary story now passed down from elders to the new generation.
