Recap
An imaginative and playful collage of images portraying the lives of cows, this mosaic of small stories from around the world captures both positive and negative moments in their lives, depicting the existence of animals in a globalised world and their relationship with humans. The visually vibrant images reveal the cow as a sensitive creature worthy of admiration. Through its stylised poetry, playfulness, and humour, the film offers hope for a better world.

Director
Pavla Baštanová
Pavla Baštanová is an animator and illustrator based in Olomouc. She graduated from the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague with her film ‘Mukumů’ (2017). The same story also appears in a children's book published in 2020. Other animated films Pavla created include ‘Among Trees’ (2015) and ‘I Can't Swim’ (2016). As an animator, she also participated in the movies ‘The Crossing’ (2020) and ‘The Falling Star’ (2017). The aspect of nature and animals is essential in her artwork.
