9 May Europe Day to be Celebrated with Various Exciting Cultural Events
As part of 9 May Europe Day, concerts and events will be held throughout May. For the first time this year, 9 May Europe Day receptions will be held in two different cities, Istanbul and Ankara. Mayor of Istanbul Ekrem İmamoğlu will host a reception on 7 May at the Haliç Congress Centre, where Barbaros will perform.
On 9 May in Ankara, the Head of the Delegation of the European Union to Türkiye, Ambassador Nikolaus Meyer-Landrut, will open the digital photography exhibition titled: ‘The Common Heritage We Create and Share.’ The exhibition will consist of photographs of cultural heritage projects jointly supported by the EU and Türkiye.

Haïdouti Orchestra in Türkiye
The Haïdouti Orchestra is preparing to hold a series of concerts in Türkiye from 7 to 11 May as part of the 9 May Europe Day celebrations. The ensemble, composed of musicians from various countries such as France, Greece, Türkiye, Romania and Serbia, will perform for audiences in Van, Şanlıurfa, Gaziantep and Kayseri.
The talented ensemble will offer a message of unity and solidarity, epitomised by its multicultural repertoire, including songs from the Balkans, Türkiye and the Middle East. All the performances will be free of charge. The Haïdouti Orchestra performances will be organised by the EU Delegation to Türkiye through the European Union Information Centres.

9 May, Thursday: Şanlıurfa Göbeklitepe Amphitheatre, at 17:00
10 May, Friday: Gaziantep Şehit Kamil Art Center, at 20:00
11May, Saturday: Kayseri Recep Tayyip Erdoğan National Garden, at 20:00
