The 14th European Union Human Rights Short Film Competition, organised by the Delegation of the European Union to Türkiye, invites you to make good use of your talent for the cause of human rights.

Do you believe in the transformative power of cinema to inspire change? Do you have a story to tell about fundamental rights and freedoms? Think outside the box!  Imagine your camera as a tool for advocacy and your lens as a window into human soul. Open the door for dialogue and change.  

We are waiting for your short films with the theme of human rights, minimum 3 and maximum 10 minutes in length, in the genre and technique of your choice, regardless of documentary, fiction, animation.  It can be your first film or your first professional film.

Along with the first 3 prizes of the competition, special prizes will be awarded for films focussing on gender equality and climate action.

Submit your application before 18:00 on 1 November 2024 and join us in demonstrating the power of art in shaping our lives and our common future.

The winning films of the competition will be screened in cinemas during the 14th European Union Human Rights Film Days.
