Mandate of EU Ambassador Petros Mavromichalis extended until 31 August 2025
Due to unforeseen developments, the designated EU Ambassador for Switzerland and the Principality of Liechtenstein, Mr Miroslav Lajčák, will finally not take up the post in Bern. Accordingly, the mandate of the current EU Ambassador Petros Mavromichalis, in office since September 2020, has been extended until 31 August 2025.
Ambassador Mavromichalis looks forward to spending an additional year working with partners and friends in Switzerland and Liechtenstein to further deepen relations with these two important partner countries of the EU.
