On 23 June 2022, upon invitation by the Stiftsschule Einsiedeln, EU Ambassador Mavromichalis gave the keynote speech at this year's graduation ceremony of this renowned high school. He concluded with an appeal to the graduates to actively participate in the community and to stand up for a living democracy. EU Ambassador Mavromichalis took also the opportunity to visit the Benedictine monastery of Einsiedeln with its world-famous abbey and cathedral church as well as the beautiful library. An exchange of views with Abbot Urban Federer during dinner rounded off a very successful visit.
