Ahead of Paris AI Action Summit (10.-11.Feb.2025), OHCHR, French Embassy and EU Delegation in Korea organized an expert briefing on Tuesday (4th) on why embedding human rights in AI development is imperative.

The government representatives, civil society and technology companies in the region exchanged their current practices on responsible AI and digital rights, with regard to State use of technology and technical standard setting.

The briefing engaged regional stakeholders regarding the understanding/uptake of human rights as they relate to digital technology and business responsibility in line with the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights.

Also, the exchange elevated regional inputs from the conversation to global policy discussions such as the implementation of the Global Digital Compact and the Paris AI Action Summit.
