Fueled by the Paraguay & European Union's Global Gateway Partnership, Gonzalo is revolutionizing his community. His new irrigation system is a game-changer for local agriculture. And his project, Bosque, Comunidad y Vida? It's championing sustainability and empowering the younger generation and women. Together, they're making a significant impact on both the locals and the economy.
MEET MARIA ELENA
As an environmental engineer, María Elena is all about the eco-friendly hustle. She feels that nature needs to be better understood and protected and is on a mission to share her knowledge with the community and visitors alike, raising awareness about the richness of natural ressources for Paraguay's economy.
Becoming a tour guide is my way to spread this message while bringing benefits to the local population.
In partnership with the European Union's Global Gateway strategy, María Elena hones her eco-tourism expertise in Ybytyruzú reserve. This collaboration is a testament to Ñañua Paraguay's mission of bridging civil society with public and private sectors for climate action, proving that preserving nature benefits both the planet and the economy.
