[Completed] Strengthening fishing CSOs as governance and development actors for social inclusion, marine sustainability and equitable prosperity in the Gulf of Montijo, Panama
General objective:
Increase female participation in the sustainable and participatory management of marine and coastal resources in the area of influence of Coiba National Park, promoted by 10 community organisations of artisanal fishers and their Federation.
Specific objective:
- Empower and train female members and daughters of fishers from 10 civil society organisations that are members of the Federation of Artisanal Fishermen of the area of influence of Coiba National Park.
- Establish the Federation's Gender Committee and implement the Gender Committee's work plan and sustainability plan.
- Sensitise the members of the civil society organisations, the federation, competent authorities, and coastal communities on gender equity and equitable public participation.
- Disseminate knowledge, experiences and lessons learned from the action to promote its study and replicability.
