[Completed, Regional] Promoting peaceful coexistence for migrants, refugees and other vulnerable populations in Central America and the Caribbean
General objective:
Promote access of refugees and vulnerable migrants to basic services and their social and economic integration into Panamanian society.
Specific objective:
- To promote access of refugees and vulnerable migrants to basic services.
- Train government officials and refugees and migrants.
- Inform the local community.
- Strengthen capacities on employability and entrepreneurship of refugees and migrants with specific needs and establish partnerships with the private sector.
- Support for the fight against COVID-19.

The regional project took place in Panama, El Salvador, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras and Nicaragua, and was financed with 3.850.000 EUR by the European Union and implemented by the International Organisation for Migrants (IOM) and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).
