[Completed] Panama Protective with children and teenagers
General objective:
Strengthen the capacity of Panamanian government institutions and civil society to guarantee the rights of children, especially populations under alternative and institutional care, using best practices based on regional and global evidence.
Specific objective:
- Strengthen the capacities of civil society organisations in the country so that they can exercise their role effectively in the protection of children's rights.
- Strengthen the capacities of institutional care organisations (shelters) for the implementation of child protection guidelines and directives in accordance with the international human rights framework.
- Advocate for the implementation of a roadmap towards the National Child Protection System and transition to alternative care models.
- Promote the effective participation of children and youth in the spaces of public discussion about their rights and the models of alternative care and deinstitutionalisation.
- To mobilise public opinion in favour of child protection.
