Mr Stephen Langrell, the Head of Rural Development and Economic Co-operation at the European Union Delegation to Pakistan reiterated the EU resolve and commitment to have increased budget for children. He was speaking at the event organised under the EU and UNICEF co-funded project titled the “Public Finance for Children (PF4C)” in Islamabad, last Friday.

Mr Langrell also mentioned about the other areas where is European Union supporting Pakistan for example the enhanced access to EU market under the GSP+ trade concessions is effective in boosting Pakistan’s and bilateral cooperation. He emphasised the efforts to strengthen the efficiency and effectiveness of spending and close collaboration among all stakeholders.

The event was activity participated by representatives from various fields including the government representatives from Sindh and Balochistan provinces, private sector, academia, development partners and civil society.
