European Film Festival Lesotho 2024
The European Union, in partnership with Alliance Française de Maseru and Mbabane are hosting the first binational European Film Festival in Lesotho and Eswatini from 13 to 30 November 2024.
The festival will showcase a diverse range of European and local films, exploring themes such as identity, resilience, family, social justice, and cultural heritage. It will feature works from renowned filmmakers and emerging talents, including those from Lesotho and Eswatini.
The festival will be held at various venues in both countries, including Alliance Française de Maseru, National University of Lesotho, Café What?, and The Hub. It will also include workshops and seminars for aspiring filmmakers, providing opportunities for knowledge sharing and networking.
By bringing together diverse voices and perspectives, the European Film Festival aims to inspire audiences, promote intercultural understanding, and contribute to the vibrant cinematic landscape of Lesotho and Eswatini.
