Second EPA Sensitization forum in Mwea

The European Union and key stakeholders continue public sensitization workshops around the country, on the Economic Partnership Agreement that entered into force on 1 July 2024.

The second public awareness forum on the EU-Kenya Economic Partnership (EPA) Agreement was held last week in Mwea, Kirinyaga County in the Central Kenya region on 16th October 2024.

The workshop, supported by the European Union Delegation to Kenya, and the Danish Industry East Africa, and co-organised by the Ministry of Investments, Trade and Industry and several private sector Business Membership Organizations (BMOs) in Kenya, is part of an initiative aimed at educating Kenyan enterprises about the provisions of the EPA, which offers duty-free and quota-free access to the vast European Union market.
